This Pressure Screen is used for low and medium production capacities, and for the fine screening of all grades of paper stock in a closed stock flow system. In addition to floating impurities such as fibre bundles, specks, threads, bristles and foamed polystyrene particles, it also efficiently removes particles of plastic laminations and tapes, hot melts and sticky contaminants.

The Voith Vertical Pressure Screen operates as follows:
The incoming unfiltered stock flows around the periphery of the inner tank; to weir over between a stationary basket, with either perforations or slots, and a rotating multi-van rotor. Accepts flow through the basket; light rejects rise up to the centre of the domed lid and are discharged via a valved outlet, heavy rejects make their way to the bottom of the inner tank and are discharged via another valved outlet.
